What is Invisalign?
Invisalign® is a fully removable aligner system. Instead of braces, we supply custom-made clear BPA-free plastic aligners that fit closely over your teeth, gently yet firmly moving them into the correct positions. Gradually over time this creates a straighter smile.
The aligners are virtually invisible once in the mouth. Each set of aligners is worn for approximately two weeks, before you discard them for new aligners. This continues to gently move your teeth until treatment is completed. Treatment times vary according to the complexity of the problems to be addressed. The Invisalign system is very user-friendly. Aligners are virtually invisible and removed for eating and whenever you want to brush and floss.

Who can have Invisalign treatment?
Invisalign is best suited for adults, however, in some cases it might be suitable for older teens who can demonstrate a high level of commitment to the daily straightening regime (aligners must be worn 22 hours daily).
Invisalign can correct a large number of orthodontic problems, including overcrowding and teeth that are out of alignment. Bite problems – such as open bites, crossbites, overbites and underbites – can be corrected too. Invisalign can also close up or minimise spaces in between teeth.
What is the procedure for Invisalign?
When you come to see us here at Dental Art, we will carefully examine your mouth to identify the problems requiring correction. As part of that process, we take photos and use Invisalign’s software to plan treatment step-by-step. The software produces virtual images so you can see how your teeth will move and of course the final results.
Following this step, your aligners are custom-made so you can begin straightening your teeth.
